As I was the person who mentioned that the bar doesn't even come close to fitting out of the box (and jacking the car up isn't enough), maybe I could ask those of you who have successfully mounted one to give me the dimension between ends of your brace? I'd just like to make sure that mine's correct before I go doing more modifications (like Gustave's). I'll post here the length of my own bar as soon as I get a chance.


'88 M3

Folks are mentioning that this stress bar does not fit properly out of the box. Has anyone bought one of these and had it fit with no modification? Could it be that you need to lift the car and take the pressure off of the front suspension for proper installation of the bar?
