I used a heat-gun, although a good strong hair dryer would probably do the trick. I kept it pretty close to the tape for several seconds until I could see the tape just start to distort. Then I would peel it off in small sections. Actually some of it would come off in larger pieces but it's probably safer to do it this way. I didn't have any paint to come off but that's not to say that your's won't so please becarefull. A good idea would be to get some 3M decal remover and try that first. Took a good hour and a half to do both bumpers. HTH...
