Well cant blame it on them totally but this seems a bit strange that it is happening near the area of a recent repair BMW did on my car.

Story:
A few weeks ago I had a water leak into my interior, it was dripping down the inside of conole into passenger footwell ONLY when I hosed the car down. I found out it was the rubbing drainage tube in the engine bay which was blocked. So Ive had my carpet raised a bit on the passenger side for a couple of weeks to let it dry. When I first moved the carpet I noticed there was a small split in the sealant stuff near the floor area(is that its name?). Anyway where the speaker is in the passenger well, if I look down a bit and forward a bit there`s a 1 inch split where the side joins the floor in the grey coloured stuff (which I can see is about 3mm thick and is white underneath)

So anyway, today I have a drive in the rain and I have just now noticed a tiny tricle of water has come through the split. Can this be sealed from inside or does it (like I suspect) need to be done at the external source?. I had a new inner wing put on not too long ago and I suspect the BMW dealers have buggered something up around that area 8-(.
