Hi.

Have you verified that your bracket is in good shape? I didn't notice the hairline crack in mine until I cleaned the thing and specifically looked for it. If you do find that is cracked, get two new brackets and install them together so you don't have the problem again. Also check the condition of your A/C belt. If it is worn at all you should replace it. If all the belts are the same age, might as well replace all of them. I think you can get a belt kit for about $40.00 most places.

Does anyone have any tips on setting the proper tension on the a/c belt. I can't seem to get mine to stay tight enough. These brackets s#^k!
