Sounds like a fake. Easy way to check even without checking the VIN, which you must do, is check the number of wheel bolts. E30 M3 is the only E30 that had five stud wheel fixings.

Hi I am a E36 guy and have a chance to buy a e30 " M3" at a ridiculous price however I have never seen a M3 with square head lights ?? Is this a real m3? it has on the door sills
a sticker that looks just like the stripes of the M and a single red light on the inside of the door... it has a plastic/rubber wing on the back and it appears to have a 6 cyclinder(it has six spark plugs!)it also has dual exh. tips I thought e30 M3 had 4 cyl true or not? it has leather seats and is a standard?
Are there any tell tale signs it may be a fake..What was the first year of the e30 M3? Thanks in advance...Donald
BTW the first three letters of the vin are WBA thought M3 were WBS...PLEASE HELP!!
