Its a kind of fender underneath the outer fender 8-). He heh e, thats obvious judging by its name. I dont know much about it myself but if someone hits a fender u can gurantee the inner fender will also be damaged and will need to be replaced. I think when an inner fender is replaced it is welded into position, hence thats where I think the dealers have buggered up - maybe when taking the old one off.

Nope, no rust there because its just where the side moulds into the floor (kind of plaster stuff). Hopefully there is no exposed metal inside the split tho - thats what I`m worried about. I`m gonna head off to a larger place to get it looked at I think - local small dealership is a pain in the ass



At least you haven't found rust in that foot well, right - see it could be worst. I just found a small spot in that same area that I'll have fixed this week. I am going to drive a couple of weeks (washings and rains) without carpet afterwards just to make sure there are no more leaks. I can't figure out what that Inner wing is??
