Make sure you get a good one with a limited slip, about $300-400. I see you've chosen the 2.93:1. What transmission did you use? What are the ratios?
Barry at bimmerworld sold his 2.0L engine and has a 1995 M3 engine that he's installing in the silver car. I'd like to see what a 2100 lb car with 250HP is like. After the JC Euro HFM intake (Euro M3 or US 540i), chip, cams, Robbie Kollar (E36 M3 club racer) gets 311HP at the crank! Easy mods, not too expensive, either. You'll never see 300HP from an S14 without spending $15k. You'll never, EVER see 250lb-ft of torque from it without nitrous or forced induction done right.
Don't get me wrong--I love the S14. I'm keeping mine. But the power of the bigger engines is soooo tempting.
