Hello gang,
I own an 88 M3 I purchased locally about 3 months ago, which now has a serious "miss" problem. I'm guessing a fuel problem--either a faulty pump(s), clogged injector, pressure regulator, etc. The car pops like its too lean while idling, and misses/doesn't accelerate when throttle is depressed under load. While sitting, it will rev the full range but with stutters and misses. I drained the oil to see if there was any coolant or metallic particles, but it is completely clear. There are no bottom end noises to my relief. Like it sounds, this is all speculation with minimal diagnosis. Unfortunately, I don't have the time to start tearing into it. I'm knew to BMW ownership, and need some advice on where to take it. Basically, who to BMW's in Seattle is John Walker to 911's? Is the dealership just a bunch of punk kids or professionals? In case you're wondering who I am, I'm the guy from the Jaunita Beach meeting that had the ugly, blue painted valve cover and intake plenum (I didn't do it). Thanks for your help.

As I don't live there anymore... but I know Strictly BMW in Bellevue can definitely fix your car, they maintain quite a few race cars for the local chapter members. They're a bit on the expensive side but it's hard to find good places that know about the E30 M3 these days.
