I used a lathe to turn down a 18mm socket to fit through the opening and break the spark plug loose, then used a small diameter spark plug socket to extract the plug.


Is there is a special spark plug tool for the E30 M3? My standard 18mm spark plug socket diameter is about 1mm too big to fit down the #^&$%( hole and I can not find anything else that will work.
