I ran into the exact same problem but the smog tech checked a car database called ALLDATA the smog shop that you went to does not know what the hell they talking about. This is what is required CAT,DME,EEC,FR,OS,PCV hopes this helps.

I thought there was a check engine light next to the
high beam indicator? My local smog shop didn't pass
me because they said there was supposed to be one...

help!
