I would buy another M3 before the 911sc. The BMW is more unique, more comfortable and faster. I don't know production numbers on the sc, but with only 5000 e30 M3's imported into the US, the M3 is definitely rarer. I live in Southern California, and I see handfuls of 911's every day. If I see another e30 M3, its a big event. Granted, I have spent more on my M3 in the first year of ownership than I did on the 911 in 2, but most of that was maintenace deferred by the previous owner. Considering the age/mileage difference in the two cars, I think things would even out. Remember, an sc is going to be 7-10 years older than the M3. Comfort wise there is no comparison, the M3 wins hands down. The seats are better, the A/C is capable of blowing cold air, there is a usable back seat and a real trunk. Oh, and the M3 is faster, too. All that said, if you never drive an e30 M3 and buy the 911, you won't be disappointed, its a great car, and if you can afford a Carrera then the gap gets alot closer. I hope this helps.
