I like the second set of stripes better. The first set has always looked a little weird to me the way it wraps over the top. You can never quite tell if it looks straight. The second set, on the other hand, looks very clean and precise. The second set is also a bit more subtle...if you could call 3 foot wide ///Motorsport stripes subtle.

Also, I think you should paint your RKs white. While they are light, I must admit that I have NEVER liked the looks of the RK...until now. Something about the white paint makes them look quite decent.

on my project m3, the Motorsport stripes on the driver's side - should I paint it on the front fender-door like this :

or should I paint it on a quarter panel like this :

????

Also, do you think I should paint the rims (BBS RKs) white or black?
thanks for input!

Definitely go with the quarter panel stripes. They look alot better than the front fender stripes. I also dont like the way they come all the way to the top of the car. As far as rims this is what i think. Go with black only if you are going to track the car. Black on the streets does not look all that good. Maybe on three piece wheels yeah. Now with the white, no matter where you go, they will add those extra WOW's to your car. I mean driving an M3 is WOW enough but with the rims the same color as the car, it would look awesome. Just my opinion.
