I had the same problem a few months ago. I never even did favors for people looking up their cars. I just looked at BMW's that I wanted to buy. After a few days I began to receive e-mails with Honda, Ford, Nissan etc on it... All I did was mail carfax and explained them the problem. They apologized and credited my card. They claimed that they were experiencing a problem with a software problem.

This might be what is happening to you... Just mail/call them and explain the situation. I don't think that any fellow BMW owner is trying to screw you...

I go to the web site, get the report, and a copy gets emailed to me. I then send that email to the person. My guess is that they can then get back into my account using a link somewhere on that HTML report.....
