I know of 3 other Atlanta area M3s running the JC chip and non have any pinging problems, I would suggust you to try a new gas station. Also since you have now re-adjusted the AFM and "other stuff" you car is no longer set to run like what the orginal setting were which is what the chip is going to work with. You need to call Jim Conforti and ask him what you have done wrong and re-set all your settings back to the orginal specs that BMW set the engine at. the JC chip is stronger than any other by far.

I had the same problem with my JC chip and switched back to my autothority adjusted the afm and a few other goodies and it runs better, no pinging. Put the chip back in and it pings and too much smut on my rear apron

I've passed two california smog checks with my JC chip. I haven't had any pinging problems, either.
