Huzurdd is quite right in that they did not make any factory RHD M3's. I read in one of the UK BMW magazines that one company in England had converted about 70 to RHD.
I have a RHD 89 M3 that was converted here in NZ by Road and Track Autos in Rotorua. As Huzurdd explained all of the holes are there for the conversion and from my experience the only fabrication necessary is a new set of exhaust headers to clear the steering arm.
I'm not sure how many M3's there are in NZ (not many) but there was one for sale recently in Auckland that had been converted to RHD when sold new in NZ and had travelled only 80,000 Km and was in mint condition. The asking price was NZ$43,000 and the same dealer told me he had recently sold a converted X-USA car with 130,000k's for $40,000.
