What do you think is the best engine to go with in a big city like Dallas, Tx?
More HP will get you out of Dallas faster ;'}
Once you convert to the M52 engine, can you convert back to the S14 motor in the future?
You can always put back the old drive train if you are willing to do the work
Is the M52 engine much faster than the S14 on getting up to 60, 100, 140, and what's the difference on the top speeds?
Your top speed will be determined by you gearing.
M52 engines can put out over 450 hp with a well designed turbo setup. That will give you 5.56 lbs or so per hp. the m52 came with a much lower diff ratio than the e30 m3. If you put the M52 with a 3.6:1 or a 3.27:1 (???) diff and a correctly geared tranny, the thing will F%#@ing fly. With a 4.11:1 diff you will never be able to put your foot into it till 4th gear. Afriend of mine (Catsby Jones) has a setup like this in a 318ti, 450 turbo hp 3.2 engine. Stupidly fast. He can light the tires in 3rd. I drag raced him on the streets of Daytona, I was not even close. Came in 3rd OVERALL in the One Lap of America a few years back.
And also, if you know, 0-60 time,
his are in the middle to low 4 second range.
and does the car handle any different since the M52 motor wasn't built for it?
Correction...the car is not built for the motor. You will have a little (not much if you go for the Al. block) more front weight.
