rear of the car. It's just a 1 second chirp, like I ran over a canary. Happens very intermittently and only for about a second when it does. It's just one of those things that's on the back burner until I get the time to check on it.

Check to make sure the alternator or fan belts are tight. Usually right after you start the car, the alternator is charging the battery and if the belt is loose it will slip as you are accelerating.
