I own two e30 m3 one for sale with 67000 miles and does not have this noise but the other one I have 88000 miles does it, If you find what it is let me know J.C.Baranda
Having posted a couple questions in the past and gotten helpful answers, I'll throw this one out there;
I recently adopted a very clean underdriven '88M3 w/41k mi.
In the 1500 mi I've put on in the last couple mos I'm hearing an intermittent squealing very briefly as I'm letting out the clutch and stepping on the gas. This happens mostly when the engine is cold and only from 1-2 and 2-3.
Otherwise the car runs great,sounds great and feels very tight.Only change from stock (so far) are 17" BBS RK's w/ Bridgestone SO-2's.
