I have a weird electrical problem that I cant figure out.. Its definitely not as bad as the electrical problems that some of you are having (Jon), but its still very annoying.
What happens is that my number 1 & 2 fuses (High and Low beam, both 7.5A fuses) keep blowing out. Its so weird, it seems to do it only at times when I'm driving and it causes my high beams not to work. I just installed Cibie Highs and low beams but am using stock wattage bulbs. I replace the fuses before I start the car, and everything works fine for a moment, but after driving around for a while the fuses just blow again.

Not only this, but I am having other slightly messed up problems like the passenger ceiling light not turning off when I have a door open (regardless of what position the switch is in). Also, yesterday while driving on the road, I was getting a continuous check brake lights errors even though my bulbs were fine. I started it up a second time and the brake light problem went away…

What it seems like is maybe there is a short somewhere, or there is a ground wire that is messed up somewhere. Where can I check to fix this?? Could it be maybe that my headlight connectors are too corroded, causing a poor connection to the bulb? Any help would be appreciated..

Jeff J.
