... of an E30 M3 interior with the "M"-stripe plates on the seats? I'm redoing my front seats with "M" covers to match the leather pattern of the M3 rear seat I recently installed in my "is" and would like to include those plates front and rear. I need something to show my upholstery guy to make sure he gets it right.

Also, does anyone know how these plates are supposed to be installed? They have what appears to be two ordinary nails, about three inches long, projecting from the back. Once they're driven through the leather, are the nails folded together against the foam or are they just driven through the leather with some sort of glue on the back of the plate to hold it to the seat? My fear is, if I try to have him bend those nails, it might crack the plate. I'd very much like to know ahead of time, as I'd hate to ruin the plates and be left with two holes in my brand new seat covers (about $1,000 worth) trying to do it wrong. Any input appreciated. TIA

FYI: In case anyone's wondering, I'm not an M3 wannabe -- I don't have any "M" badges on the outside of my 325is. But I would like to include those plates to match the "M"-stripe on my stock wheel.
