BTW, I'd be surprised if your friend can get a discount, especially a 35% one, on a V1 since they only sell direct. If he can, can you get me a pair?

I would too, we've tried for years as a group to get Mike Valentine to offer a discount but he won't. The only thing you can do is buy "returned" ones for less that carry the same warranty anyway.

One thing about V1s also is that they'll update your old detector with new guts for a fraction of the price of a new one. I doubt BEL or Passport also offer that. If they do someone let me know quick because I have two BEL detectors that I never use. Hmm.... ebay!
