Not sure about how they are with aftermarket gear, but I JUST got off the phone with my State Farm agent to insure my newly acquired 90 e30 M3.

Premium for less than 7500 mi/year (collector car) was surprisingly low at $1016/year. Don't laugh, I live in San Francisco where this is considered reasonable! I am carrying 100/300 and have rental car, medical coverage, etc. I also have a multi-car discount and renter's insurance thry the same agent. YMMV, of course.

Good luck.

So who does everyone use for insurance and why?
I was just using American Sterling, but am about to drop
them as they submitted for a huge rate hike. So I'm
looking for a good carrier that doesn't want to ream me in
premiums, but can cover aftermarket gear or offers additional dollar coverage...
