I also have an M325i which is the equivalent of your "is" model and yes the stitching pattern is different as Lane suggests. The back seat however is also quite different as the M3 has a hump in the middle and only 2 seatbelts whereas the "is" type is flat on the base and has a pullout centre armrest, and a centre lap seatbelt as well.

I have seen pictures of an M3 in the UK fitted with these seats so yes they will fit.
