Justin, the set I got was alittle bit less than that but not by much. I then paid half of the shipping I believe. Still that's a good deal when you consider the cost of these things new. I don't want to lye to you but I think they're around $2300.00 each new. I kicked around the idea of buying a new set of Sparco Evo seats, they look great and hold you in place better than the Vaders. I didn't get them because the Vaders came out cheaper and I wanted leather in my street car (another $1000. if you want leather on your Recaro SRD, BTW). Now, another option is to have your stock seats recovered with new leather for about the same money. They probably do a slightly better job of holding you in place than the Vaders but mine squeaked alittle from age (could have been fixed though). All in all I'd say $1000.00 for that set is a fair deal, just have the guy send you some pictures so that you can determine if they're worth the price. I have some pictures of mine I could send you for a comparison if you want. Good Luck!!
