offset Q: ET23 okay for 18x8? (archive)

Does anyone know if, or used and offset of ET23 for an 18x8 wheel or any other 8" wide wheel; diameter should make no difference.

I am curious to know if this is within spec. I previously uised ET20 on my 18x8 wheels and that worked quite well, though the fender lip clearance looked like it could become a serious issue. ET23 should be better in that department.

Any ideas folks?
