If we would like to track this person, it's very easy. Just like tracking me or anyone else. The IP address is owned by AOL, and AOL keeps records of those IP's. [email protected] Living off this guy's earnings for the rest of his life? I doubt it... Libel cases don't produce results such as that. Jail time, perhaps..... I'm assuming this person doesn't even own a BMW or is even over the age of 18.
If you don't like Roadfly the way it is, then don't come back. I don't like MB software that is open posting either, but you don't have to post here if you don't like.
Next time, don't stereotype the entire group of users on this board with your short sighted response please.
Having met Brett in person before, and following him on various digests and other resources since 1997, I really only have one thing to say.
You're right Brett, you are wasting your time on the BMW online community.
For over 4 years, I've seen you give out free expert technical advice to complete strangers, many of which don't even bother to thank you for it. I've seen nitwits that wouldn't know a ball joint from their asshole resort to childish namecalling when correct them on their erroneous (and stupid) remarks. You're blunt, and a lot of the "softer" people in this society of ours can't handle that. However, after reading this post, I am just at a loss for words.
How anyone could do something as malicious as making an obviously false accusation of being a child molester on multiple public forums just blows my mind. How a failed abortion such as this dickless "concerned victim" could stoop to something as low as this malicious slandering is just completely beyond me.
Sue roadfly so that this miserable website is run into the ground. Maybe that will finally convince them to get rid of this archaic "no registration needed" posting style.
As for AOL, I don't really know what to say about them, good luck getting them to track whomever posted this, however, if they do, enjoy living off this guy's earnings for the rest of his life.
As for the "BMW Online Community", I think it's simple. For many years you've provided them with free information that would cost them hundreds to get at a shop. They've provided you with hate mail, flames, complaints, and felonious slander. I think it's pretty obvious what you need to do there. Stick to running your business, and tell the "BMW Online Community" to fuck off.
