I have a very specific exhaust question. First of all, don't stone me for
having bought a 1990 e30 M3 with a transplanted motor from a 1996 328i (M52)
by Frank Fahey in San Diego. I had my car at the shop today to have a KRC
power steering pump with a larger pulley placed. They put the pump on by
modifying the original bracket, but while in this area the mechanic noted a
significant crimp in the exhaust pipe as it left the header, traveling over
the sway bar, before the catalytic convertor. They want to remedy this
situation, but are stumped because of the limited space and angles involved.
The sway bar seems to be in the way. I was hoping that I could receive some
advice to fix this unfortunate situation. Let me know what you think. Any
advice would be greatly appreciated. JOE
