there are three wires that lead to the O2 sensor. my guess is that the black wire is the one that leads to the DME and gives the computer it's information, am I correct?

I taped into that wire to connect an Air fuel mixture guage, but for some reason it will not come on. I'm pretty sure that i taped into the correct wire, an I know i have a very good ground. I grounded the sensor to the bold right next to the colant resavoir where there is a ground strap to the motor.

do you have a good remote turn on switch in the engine bay around that area? Or how about a good turn on switch in the dash around the radio?
thanks

also, if you have never done this, fire your car up when you don't have the exhaust system hooked up, crazy sounding!
