in just a plain old parking lot with your standard car jack. I did it in a parking garage at work, and I could've just as easily done it in an outside parking lot. Your jack will do the job just fine.....just be careful not to put your body under the car, I wouldn't trust the jack with my life. You can do this in under two hours with a few sockets and a torque wrench. I know what you mean about not having a garage though....I've done alot of my work in "guest parking" behind my condo building, or out on the side of the street. I'm in the process of home hunting right now, but was considering just buying a huge garage and building a loft for my bed. j/k. But seriously, no garage is a huge pain in the ass.
