In an attempt to correct my emissions issue..(not passing)
I have rplaced the O2 sensor, AND throttle position switch. Both were dead, and this was thought to be the reason car was in a "LIMP" mode or basically not runniung right.
These items have been put in and car STILL is running way too rich..mechanic is going to hook the ECU unit up to a diagnostic system, to look at what might be going on. Thinks it is a bad ECU or wasted wiring harness....
Any input out there regarding this??
I have the car listed for sale, because I need to get ready for a home closing..meanwhile, I am still trying to get this car right for the new owner OR myself if I just keep it.. and go against my better judgement...I love the car..don't mind putting the money into it.. but I JUST REALLY WISH THAT IT WOULD BE NICE TO ME !!
It just further proves that E30 M3's are a lot like a beautiful woman...they don't tell you what's wrong and they CERTAINLY don't tell you where... let alone telling you how....sound familiar??

Anyways, sorry for the rant, but need some advice regarding this fuel system issue...

P.s. Fuel system pressure is good, smoke test shows no vacuum leaks, plugs are new, timing chain tensioner will need replacement but this doesn't seem like it would affect doesn't know WHATS GOING ON AS FAR AS POWER DELIVERY!!
