Sounds like oil surge away from the pickup in the pan. Experts (not that I am one) suggest a slight overfill on oil level when doing auto-x and trackdays, as well as an oil pan baffle.

Turner sells a baffle for about $65, might be worth looking into.

I put in a new E30 style tensioner about 2k ago on my M3.
The chain still rattles ice cold 4-5 sec w/ the nose uphill.

Also w/ the engine ice cold when you blip the throttle
you here a slight ticking sound as the engine RPM's start
to decend
