where did u get it, what kind is it (full cage, half...)
and how much was it?
Thanks for info
btw beautiful car!

It is a full cage (6pt.) and was custom built for me by Raven Perf. out of chrome-moly.

Because of the cost of the materials (chrome-moly is a lot more expensive than mild steel), the cage cost me roughly $3k Canadian or about 1900 or so USD. That price was based on me driving the car there and driving it home. They did the disassembly, re'n're of the dash etc. There was also about $300-$500 of pure labour when they pulled the carpet up and removed all of the sound deadening materials (heat, chemicals and scrapers).

The cost could have been reduced if I was to take on some of the work, but I was too busy at the time. Now that business is slowing a little I will probably take a more hands on approach to the M3.

Even though it was a huge sum of money, I think that the addition of the cage was probably the single most effective mod to the M3, dollar for dollar. I had already done suspension work, rim'n'rubber etc.; the cage was the mod that really made all the other mods come together and work as one. That may sound corny, but that's the only way I can think to describe the feeling.
