...would cost more than the entire M52 conversion. The M50/M52 conversion is a cost effective option for an E30 M3 owner with a worn out S14.

Chris's own car (stop-gap cheapo 2.5L M50 to replace the blown S14 that was in there when he got it) can out-accelerate a stock E30 M3 in the lower speed range...up to 80 or so. The 2.8L is even better though I don't know if it's been raced. I'm waiting to see the results of an ongoing 3.2L US motor conversion. That should be fun.

If you want more power in your M3 w/out spending huge $$$ on a super 2.5L S14, give Chris a call.
