front shock / strut housing question.............. (archive)

I was under my car trying to work on something else today and found that the support link for the anti-roll bar had broken off of the strut housing! now I need help... what should I do to fix this?

do I replace the housing with the oem or do I go to a new system? If I were to get bilstiens or konis up front, do those go inside the stock housing or do they replace the whole thing?

I tried doing some research but it wasn't very clear any info will help
