My oil temperature gauge isn't working. It stays at the same place the whole time I drive my M3. Also, my coolant temp gauge is working, but it jumps around, and I suspect that there is also a problem with this. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Thanks for any help,

This is too weird! It seems like every time I have a problem with my car, someone else has the same one and posts it the same night! Anyway, I just noticed this same thing (save for the oil temp) happening to me. The coolant temp gauge jumps around, but only seems to do so when the engine revs. I suspect the alternator but I'll check it and let you know what I find out.
In the mean time, any one have other ideas? I haven't noticed the alternator light on, so I don't know how valid my suspicion is...
On the bright side, though, I finally got the studs for the exhaust manifold, and after much painful racheting, got the damn things in! (very hard to reach) It doesn't sound like a lawnmower any more, though!!
