I'm not bothered by it. Some people can only afford 318's. Meanwhile they spend the little money they can afford to spend by hitting driving schools and autocrosses. IMO - a well represented 318 (ie, one driven in spirit rather then as a social class symbol) deserves the 'M' designation more so then your typical street-going E36 M3. To be perfectly honest I think 'M' cars are a waste of time on the street. In order to fully take advantage of your BMW-provided performance package you have to make the 6 o'clock news. This isn't aimed at anyone in particular...
