A chip will help quite a bit.
But. If you ditch the air flow meter (Via mass air conversion, or other engine management options) the whole torque curve moves up, especially below 4000 and above 7000. Part throttle torque explodes.
I have measured up to THIRTY NINE (39)percent more torque at lower throttle openings compared to stock at lo revs. This means that the throttle does not feel as dead at low load / low RPM as it does stock. No, total WOT torque does not go up anywhere near that amount. The big difference is cuz at low load low RPM the throttles have to open more in order to pull some air past the spring loaded AFM door. A variable restrictor plate deal. This is very noticeable seat of the pants.
I'm running alpha-n with MAP sensor enhancement for great street driveablilty - no restrictive AFM.
where can you get the alpha N system with the according hardware and ECU here in he states?
