from more than a few feet away, i can't see the film. in fact, i've gone a little overboard by applying the precut pieces to the mirrors and other at-risk spots.

the stuff is very easy to remove (but forget about reusing it) and easy enough to apply with some practice. i botched one mirror's application and the vendor gladly sent me a replacement (for a price of course).

everyone that produces these kits (whether custom or generic) seems to use clear films from 3M. most are 20-30 mils thick (check this to be sure). i've even started applying film to motorcycles (ones that have fairings precisely).
