Long lasting Iridium plugs are apparently available in street and racing heat ranges for S14 M3 motors.

See below. Also, if you use an aftermarket spark box you can get some benefits such as wider gap tolerance, no or greatly reduced fouling and so forth. HTH. I don't have a price for the irridium plugs but they make the Bosch "silber" (silver) XR4CS plugs look cheap. Then again they last longer!! Stan
FWIW I noticed that Denso has listings for iridium plugs suitable for the S14. Another option, but pricey. Some of the sport compact guys seem to like the plugs, but then again they also like coffee can exhausts! The Denso IX22B (stock number 5375) is for stock S14 plugs and an XR4CS (racing, colder) cross reference plug = Denso IX24. These plugs have a very, very small diameter tip which is often beneficial on many motors. Such a tip erodes rapidly which leads to trouble if typical tip metals are used. Like 500 miles. The hard iridium is much more durable in that regard. Maybe 30,000 miles. Bosch also seems to be playing around with special metals such as yttrium (sp?). NGK also makes iridium plugs but I'm not aware of any S14 applications.
