How often do you completely change your brake fluid? How much fluid would it take to flush out all the old stuff? Do you have to do anything special with the ABS system to get the old fluid out of it? Do you use one of those pressure bleaders or just the old fashion 2 man method?

I am looking for a REASONABLE upgrade of the front brakes on my 88 M3. Anyone have advice on something that does not cost 2K+ for better stopping power. I have stock calipers and Hawk HPS pads at this time and am looking for something that will come close to E-36 stopping power. Thanks in advance.

What I did on mine for autox purposes is rebuilt all the calipers (cheap), I run a set of Hawk HP Plus pads (they're more aggressive than the HPS) w/shims to cut down on the squeal, and I bleed the brakes often (Super Blue/Typ 200 alternatively), I put stainless steel brake lines on it but that was for track events they don't make a damn bit of difference on the street.
