Get my car back monday after a loooong and arduous task of getting it up to speed for emissions testing and general ECU
exhaust/cat bull****. Turned out the aftermarket chip was a dud, and sending the car goofy signals... B.T.W.,whoever thinks that some computer dude is REALLY going to better the performance of our cars NOTICEABLY, and do it better than FRITZ did back in Munich is sadly mistaken...I'll keep mine reasonably stock, thank you. Cost me bookoo to correct that which a bullshit chip RUINED. (richness caused cat. damage,02 Sensor, ETC) Looking forward to driving a "totally different feeling" car...with a factory chip! Betcha a dollar, a seasoned driver on a course could SPANK some chipped car with an average driver behind the wheel!
Maybe spending the $400.00 dollars for some chip that raises a redline ( useless above the E30 M3's "sweet spot" in the powerband anyway,) should be spent on SKIP BARBER!!!
I guess I'm just mad that my car was the victem of a faulty chip...any thoughts??
air/fuel mixture is good, a bit lean in low rpms maybe because of emissions. I agree with a better driver. We normally go on weekend drives on a winding mountain side road, my friend who has a 993 Turbo S could not keep up with me! However, I had a hard time keeping up with a Mitsu Evo 5, Impreza STI turbo and stage7 A4 1.8T quattro but none the less they were surprised and pressured by a rwd and 200hp car. Although I'm sure a little more power wont hurt(2.5l) and stronger brakes(AP kit):)
