Mine went out too. I took it apart and there is a small gear that crumbled in my fingers. I know of a place in Texas and in Florida that repairs them. Repair is about $100.00 for a gear that probably costs $.50 to make. It is illegal to tamper with mileage or speedometers so I guess these places can charge whatever they want to. The regular E30 gears will not work. I thought BMW/VDO or whoever would have learned their lesson about using cheap plastic gears in the 2002, 320i, and just about every other BMW made before 1992. Check the Roundel for the repair places.

My odometer went dead this morning. Anyone have any ideas? Is there a fuse for the odometer. Every other gauge is working fine. thanks
