I just fixed this with my car. Look for a plastic hose running down the face of the firewall just below the cowl vent on the passenger side. That hose is crimped at the end and seems to get stopped up easily from road debris and general gunk. Squeeze the end of the hose or cut it off or just remove it. This will open up the drain and end your wet carpet.

I've not been able to install carpet because I have a leak somewhere. When I wash my car or it rains I get a small amount of water in the passengers foot well, none on the drivers side. I have recently removed my old carpet and repaired a couple of rust spots in that same area. If the sunroof drains were clogged it would leak through my headliner, right. I mean I can see a few drops of water comeing from under the glovebox area. I am NOT going to cultivate any more rust on this car so I have to get this figured out. Aren't there drains somewhere in the plastic grills below the windshield? Would those cause a leak inside the car?? Thanks for any suggestions.

give me a better idea of where this area is? I have not carpet in my car right now and infact I have been doing some MORE rust repairs in teh same area.. the drain, is it behind the speaker?or by the heater core?
It`s on the engine compartment side of the firewall, just inside and below the coolant expansion tank.
