I wanted a Toronto - even searched for about 3 months for one. All I could find were used units on eBay for $300+! I decided on the Honolulu. It has a more updated look than the Toronto, but still blends nicely with the M3 interior. The Honolulu is pretty inexpensive at just over $100 most places. Check out

Take care.

People seem to like the Blaupunkt units as they match the interiors pretty well. I was lucky enough to get the Toronto before they stopped selling it. You can find them on Ebay but I hear they are as expensive as when they were new ($299 is what I paid).

Brandon Wheaton and others have gone with other Blaupunkt models.
If you don't like the Blaupunkts or they are more than you want to spend, I'd first find one that looks right with amber illumination or at least multicolor (not looks terrible in there...very out of place), then just compare specs. Only you know what kinds of features you want.

Another nice thing about the Toronto is the key card security. You need a smart card for the unit to operate. That way you only have to carry the card instead of a whole faceplate. Plus, the card stores all your preferrences and they give you two (good if you share a car...I don't).

I need a radio + CD player for my e30 M3. What unit would be the best bang for the buck? And fit my DIN sized hole?
