Lucky Bastards! 98 Octane pump gas! (do they measure octane differently in Europe/UK?) In california, we get crappy 91 octane, down from 92, because the stuff has to be oxygenated for emissions. You can tell the difference, my car pings under light load, part-throttle conditions. This after a complete tune, incl. plugs, cap/rotor, wires, and I run an MSD.

mine too. I have used premium for ages. Last time I used it the car would miss a little under part throttle or when cruising at a constant low rpm

Going to try it this weekend, my car always seems to run better on super....

Any of the UK owners out run their cars on Shell Optimax yet. I got talking to the girl in the Petrol station last night who said that she had lots of customers remark how much better it was. (could be nonsense). Ron is 98 as against 97 for the old Super Unleaded so it should suit our cars down to the ground.
