There is a strange rattling sound which I believe is coming from my waterpump, like mabye a bearing has gone bad causing its shaft to wobble. The fan clutch is new yet when I grab and shake the fan clutch or the bell housing it bolts to they feel somewhat loose. I don't recall if it felt that way when I replaced the clutch or not. The rattling noise is consistant, meaning it dosent go away when the car is warmed up, as long as I drive when you get out you still hear the same noise at the same volume. Any ideas? ThanksIt could be your water pump and it's a common problem that is easily fixed. It could also be your tensioner for your timing chain that a lot of people recommend that you change it every 100,000 miles. It could be something as simple as the heat shield on your exhaust. There are several other ideas, but if you've been under the hood and narrowed it down to a specific area, then you are probably in the right vicinity. Good luck
