I think I may need a new head gasket as I am leaking coolant from the overflow tank. My hoses blow up like a balloon after driving for 15 minutes. I first need to get the coolant test for the presence of CO.

Have any of you replaced your head gasket? How much did it cost you and how extensive was it(if you got it done at a shop). For those of you that replaced it yourselves how long did it take you. I'm thinkin of doin it myself but there is a time issue as I will have to take my time bacuse I haven't done this before. I feel very capable about doin it myself but time is not on my side. anythoughts welcomed thanks
