I would consider using a set of standard wheels, get them painted black (so the brake dust doesn't show !!) and try the Yokohama A032's. These are an intermediate slick (road legal in the UK). By all accounts, great in wet or dry (even when bald, except for deep water). Last for ages, re-groove them, abuse them, enjoy them.

Roops.

kosei's are good mainly because they're cheap.
as for tires, i'd say kumho victoracers 255/50/15.
they're almost as good as hoosiers, and a LOT cheaper.

Han.

I'm considering an extra set of wheels/tires for track/auto-x purposes. I have looked at the Kosei K1 Racing (15x8)mainly because they are lightweight and inexpensive. I have no experience with competition tires, so I would appreciate any information and recommendations anyone can offer on what to look for and what brands are generally preferrable.

Thanks and take care.
