If any of you are interested and have the time to play a sim I would STRONGLY suggest Grand Prix Legends. Without a doubt it is the most realistic racing sim to date. The cars are 1967 Grand Prix Cars (Lotus, Eagle, Brabham, Ferrari, etc.) and the tracks range from bloody Monza to the Nurburgring (14 miles of it). The physics model takes a long time to figure out, you do a lot of throttle steering and counter steering..especially trail braking. This game is truly amazing.
There is a dedicated community on the internet that races online in real time. It's great to race 2 abreast with someone half-way across the world!
You can get the game for really cheap off EBAY usually. I got my copy one year ago for $13.95 USD.
The program that enables you to play online is free for download from the internet.
This game REQUIRES a steering wheel. I use the ACT-LABS Force RS with shifter and pedals. www.act-labs.com if you're interested.
Email me if you are seriously interested. I could help you get into it and work with ya on car setups.
This sim will blow your mind and improve your driving on the track dramatically. I know, it sounds rather sad that a video game can do so much but I am not lying.
