The Euro cars don't chime unless the temperature drops low enough. They didn't chime for the door open event as on the US cars. I don't know about the speed chime, apparently they go nuts if you drive at 120mph + in freezing conditions !!!!!


My OBC chime unit has never chimed whilst i have had the car its an 87M3 has anyone got any ideas?

My e34 520 had a little symbol on the screen when the chime was swiched on like this (((o . Should my M3 have a symbol?
I have heard that there are switches on the back of the OBC what do they do? (i think one is for temperature dispaly) is it possible that the chime has been swiched off?
it is connected cos there is a plug with 3 wires going to it
